    Engineering

Bought a 94 kawasaki Voyager as a project $400. It sat for several years. Thought my buddy and I would fix it up and flip it. Let me say as motorcycle engineering goes, after removing the carbs to clean and rebuild them then taking a week to finagle them back in the frame and line up the intake...

Towing a GL1500 Front wheel cradle

Going to Tenn. in Sept. and the wife wants to trailer the bike along. Problem is we don't own a trailer. So was thinking to save money I'd look into one of those front tire cradles that fit in a 2" receivers. With a bolt on trike kit there would be no leaning away in turns. But what I'm finding...

    1200 starter

Went down in the garage to start and run a bit both the GL1500 and GL1200. It had bin a few weeks and the 1500 started right up. The 1200 on the other hand gave me problems. The starter would engage for a turn or two then slip and spin free. It took about a dozen tries to get it to fire up and...

    Free 1990 GL1500 motor

Merry Christmas. I've got a GL1500 motor with around 65,000 miles on it and reverse. It ran when I swapped it out. I swapped it because the trans started rattling. I assume a fork shifter has worn to the point it"s now noisy. Heads are good as is the intake. It's taking up space and I would like...

    Strategy for Thanksgiving

We've been told that only 6 people are allowed to meet for Thanksgiving Day, but 30 people for a funeral. With this, I announce that we will be holding a funeral on Thanksgiving Day for our pet Turkey named "Butterball" that will pass away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Refreshments...

    Recovering slowly

Well, I'm in the emergency room now. Ugh!! Today was not a good day at all. I decided to go horseback riding, to ease the boredom... something I haven't done in awhile. It turned out to be a big mistake! I got on the horse and started out fine. Nice and slow, but then we went a little faster...

    Matching Wineberry Paint

The wineberry paint color is found on some gl1200s as well as some gl1500s. I've got a Gl1500 that I added a bolt on trike kit. I needed to match the trike fenders to the color of the bike which is Wineberry, a factory color. Searching the forums someone used Dupli-color Dark Garnet. They...

    Upgrading my camper

The wife wants to be able to pull over and jump in a camper quickly in the event of a heavy rain. What we have now is a Mini Mate which is a pop-up. And speaking from experience with a Mini Mate what she wants to do isn't happening. So we're off to look at a Runaway camper this weekend. I need...

    Respect

Two guys who don't really like each other are finishing up a round of golf. One of them is poised over his ball on the 18th green ready to putt when he looks up and sees a funeral procession slowly passing on a nearby road. He immediately straightens up, removes his hat, bows his head and...

    1990 GL1500 motor

Motor out of my 1990 GL1500. 65k + miles. Runs and shifts great. Has reverse. Transmission is noisy. Taking up space in my garage. Just want it gone. Parted out is worth more than I'm asking. $300. This does not include carbs, alternator, starter or clutch assembly.
