Beautiful day in the Missouri Ozarks ,rode old 66 ,here I am on the famous Devils Elbow Bridge .

I restored this 75 model,I polished the engine and carburetors ,I love this bike ,I ride nearly every day.

Exactly,I pulled 1975 GL carburetors 3 times and thoughly cleaned everything till I finally got it right,I rode my bike today,It still runs beautiful after two years since I last cleaned them,Let me say I use only ethonal free fuel,I think that helps.

Thanks,these are made for Honda cars,has anyone tried them on a GL yet? Im sure if the dimensions are correct they should work.

Where did you buy these,can you attach a link,I need those seals also.

It was a beautiful day here for February in the Missouri Ozarks I took my great running 75 GL1000 for a little spin.

I ride a very nice 1975 GL 1000 that I restored last year,I to had difficulty getting clean shifts in the upper gears,so I switched to clutch less shifting and if done right ,you get a perfect smooth shift every time.

That was back in October ,I waited for awhile for you guys in the forum to help answer my question ,but didnt happen so I bought new marine grade solid core copper wire at the auto supply,I didnt dare break into the plastic coil housing the wires are molded together ,so I cut the old wires off...

That's good advice, you may have to loosen the radiator on the bottom,to get enough clearance to get a wrench in there to get those cover bolts loose,it makes it easier when the radiator is not in the way.

probably needs carbs synced,I read about it in a manual it wasnt difficult,you will need a good set of vacuum gauges .

It wont hurt a thing to spin the motor with the heads off,its a good time to check the function of the starter motor,If the motor spins freely it may not need attention ,but if seems slow in spinning you may want to remove it and see how it looks inside.I found that its hard to get the starter...
