Nice bike. I just picked one up just like it a week ago. Two owners, 45,000 miles. I rode it 100 miles home. I'm in the process of checking everything over, cleaning it up a bit, new tires, a set of brake pads, rebuild front master cyl, and it will be good to go.

I'm liking the bike so far. It's taking a lot of clean up but it should be worth it.

Great bikes, I have a few...if you don't KNOW when the belts were last changed, it is cheap insurance to replace them. Appearance is not sufficient to evaluate a used belt, age is important. If a belt breaks while the engine is running, you will most likely be looking for a used motor.

I just had them replaced in November, along with brakes, tires, battery, fork seals, and radiator hoses

So now we have to get the book in your hands so you can learn to do it yourself. My first head gasket job was very scary but I followed the directions from several sources including here and goldwingdocs and it was easy, time consuming, and successful! Saved myself about $600.

I have the Honda manual I was just busy and chose to have someone else do the work.
I'm getting to the point in my life where I'm getting tired of doing all of the work myself so sometimes I out source some things

Yeah I heard that. I've had plenty of wrenching, time to watch someone else do it.

Lucky you.
some might consider it lucky to have the life I do, I prefer to call it blessed. I've worked a lot of years to get where I'm at. I'm not by any means wealthy but occasionally I can splurge.

You and I are similar, I am blessed to have a heated workshop in the yard, and the time to enjoy it. I don't work on my own cars anymore, but look forward to the next more extensive repair a particular bike may need, it's my hobby challenge. Have fun with your bike(s).
