i could NOT get to idle smoooth...other than that it worked good...still no compairson to the stockers

any pics of other intakes
I closed in the bottom of my manifold in a similar way.
Tied into the back of the centre coolant collector for the coolant feed to heat the manifold.
Coolant return is to a 1/2" spacer with a hole in the side of it down at the inlet to the coolant pump.
It works very well. Idles nice, no hesitation...it just work. I've run it for three years like this and don't give it much thought anymore.

Looks good... where are you going with the thermostat switch? Oh, and do you use the original crossover tubes use something with a little thicker wall?


gonna hook the fan up to a switch. used the orignal cross overs. it idles better, and as said, hesitation is gone :yahoo:

Nice work! Your intake, is it a vw type 4 that's been walled in for heating or is it a completely different build? I am looking to do something similar. Can you post some more pics of it from all sides?

yes, and i put sleves inside the PVC so it wouldnt colapse when clamped
