Gates belts were available, back when i did mine.
For way less money than the stock Honda belts.
Forget the car engines that use these belts

still are . changed mine last year, and fixin change again this year. $12.50 each. T070 i think is belt. but be sure and confirm before you have oh chit momoent.

yes, i change stuff every winter. since the sixties. its cheaper and i aint gotta have a big chic on back to push me home.

So I have a paperback service manual coming. Found it on ebay for $50. Seemed fair.
I wont have it before the weekend and, being a weekend warrior need a little advice.
Plan is to put rebuilt carbs back on the bike and after checking - cleaning fuel pump, petcock and replacing fuel lines, fire this bad boy up.

I removed radiator to get to timing belt cover so need to put that back. What kind of anti freeze do these bikes use?
This will be temporary just to see if it will run.

Tap water for temporary. Distilled water probably a good idea if you have hard water. I've used nothing but tap and never had any problems.

Definitely want some antifreeze in there. Barn is only heated by coal on weekends
