Air filter

Is one brand better than another, has anyone changed theirs out, do they get dirty?

The paper filters are generally all the same and perform the same. The K&N oil soaked filter allows greater air flow, but also higher potential for tiny bits of dust and similar to pass through. (There is always a compromise when trying to get more air flow.) I have a K&N filter that I only used for a two month period and then sold the bike, installed a paper filter and kept the K&N filter plus the full cleaning and oiling kit. It is available if you are interested?

stay with OEM. and they last much much longer than the manuals changeout mileage unless you ride on dirt roads and construction sites all of the time
