For anyone here that uses cheapcycleparts for parts, and gets regular e-mails from them, be aware that there is a FAKE cheapcycleparts email scam going on....it is NOT from cheapcycleparts...it is a phishing scam. The email page doesn't even remotely appear like the official cheapcycleparts emails, so....BEWARE! Do NOT click on any of the links in the email....
If you don't see the usual cheapcycleparts digram at the bottom of the email, it's a fake....even the top/header is wrong...and, just as an added tease/tip, there is a skull figure on the top/left of the header...something that the real cheapcycleparts email doesn't have. I have gotten a few of them in the [past couple of days, and they have all been in my "Spam" folder....my email filter has been catching them, so it's kinda obvious that they are fake.

just an FYI.... :read:

Joe, most of the time, if you click on one of the links in the email, it will take you someplace you never wanted to go...like a ****o site, or some other goofy site that has nothing to do with whomever the email appears to be from. Sometimes, also, clicking on the links can get you a virus in your puter, or it could download software that could compromise the security of your puter...ya just never know WHAT the heck it'll do. Best to just hit "DELETE" on them, and go on.
I get emails from cheapcycle parts all the time, and they don't look anything like the ones I been getting the last couple of days. Fortunately, the settings on my email stashes stuff like this in the "Spam" folder. I check that folder every day, and empty it. If I see an email from someone I know in the spam folder, I check it out, just in case it's legit....99.9% of the time, if it's in the spam folder, it's junk...no matter WHO it says it comes from.
I just wanted folks to know that there is someone trying to scam people using a valid company name. :laptop:

The ones I got were total fakes. I know CCP has redone their website now, but the emails aren't even close...not even the phone #. If I hoover over the links, they do NOT go to CCP...I don't remember off-hand where they went, but I know it weren't CCP. The spam filter showed the return email was not correct, or affiliated with the real site.
Next one I get, I may try a link just to see how bad it is.... :help:

What I do is open those links on my phone to check in case it's something I do need. Scammers are getting clever with copying actual sites. A few I've found have hacked the email already so a reply doesn't even go to the real place.
Most of all be careful and never put in any sensitive information.
I usually call the real place and check on it.

Someone must have hacked their email account to go phishing. I've not yet done business with them and haven't received any emails.
