Hey all... Gasket sets.... I picked up one for my 1100 build from randakks. Now I'm looking for a set for my 1000 build. Randakks are currently out of stock.
Most gaskets are the same as the 1100 with a few minor differences so I could fork out for the German made 1100 kit as well.. Still not cheap but quality?? https://www.scheuerlein-motorentechnik. ... -dichtsatz
So... My options as follows..
Saber... In stock
4into1.com..they're out of stock as well
Oldbike barn. Com seems a bit expensive.. Made in Italy not that that means much..https://oldbikebarn.com/products/honda- ... gasket-set

Thoughts anyone?

The German ones I can minus 20% VAT but then add our GST on...

Any of the gasket sets will probably work. Only issue you may have is with the head gaskets, using Honda or not. If you need dowels, still available from Honda with the exception of the two large dowel pins that are used in the water pump cover area - CMSNL for these. You could also make your own gaskets, rear and water pump cover - using hole punches. Had to do this with the rear cover on my '85 engine, has worked well. These aftermarket gasket sets generally come with all the O-rings and such, but don't have a parts list or indicate what goes where.

Another consideration is to peruse the fiche and determine what O-rings you need and source at a local hydraulics place. There aren't a lot that need to be replaced.

You have options.

Does anyone have any experience with copper gaskets? I read a post recently on the use of copper gaskets. One site I went to had gaskets for the CX500 & 650 turbo so maybe if treated and fitted correctly they would be a cood option?
