1978 Goldwing GL1000 for sale
29,571 original miles, and it has never been damaged by any accident or mechanical problem, and has always been garaged.
I am the second owner and have had the motorcycle since 1983. The motorcycle was ridden regularly until 2003 when it was stored temporarily due to ill health, and unfortunately it was never ridden again. Since the intent was temporary it was not properly prepared for long term storage. The motorcycle will need mechanical restoration of brake and fuel systems; and the battery, belts, hoses, and tires should be replaced. The spark plugs were removed two months ago and the cylinders lubricated, and was turned over manually by turning the rear wheel. I can email a video of the rear wheel being turned while we tested the engine, and/or additional photos.
The motorcycle is in good cosmetic condition except for pitted and peeling chrome on aluminum covers chrome plated by the original owner. The original seat is in excellent condition as it had been in storage since before I purchased the motorcycle and was reinstalled in September 2019 when all of the attached photos were taken. There is also a Harley style windshield, King & Queen style seat, saddlebags, sissy bar bag, footboards and shifter, mics. parts, and sissy bar that came with it in 1983.
The motorcycle is located near Mansfield, Ohio; $1000.00 or best reasonable offer, no trades.
