Is there a 12volt plug for the cigarette lighter inside the faring

I do not think there is a factory harness/plug for that. You need a fairly sizable wire to carry the amperage, unless you're just using it to charge a phone, or something like that.
 
Thanks, I want to use an FM modulator and portable CD, was thinking a GPS but my phone will work if that is too much draw,
Any opinion?
 
I used the one on my old 1100 to run my Escort radar defector. There are a couple of "open" connectors in the fairing that are 12v, right close to where the wiring connectors(for the lights. etc) pass thru the fairing body. That's where the ciggy lighter socket on mine was wired. Mine was "hot" all the time, but I believe there is one or two that are hot key ON only. Not sure if the wires were for the stereo system head or not, but they were there.
 
In the 1100 headlight bucket, there is a brown wire that has nothing connected to it. It runs back to the fuse panel and the key switch and is the "accessory" wire. That is the wire intended for connecting a device.
