New old guy from NY

Greeting all

I'm Xris from new york, new owner of a 83 gl1100 goldwing that has alot of issues but runs, wondering if there is anyone around with good knowledge of installing timing belts. The bike is currently without the belts on and i would like some info on how to get everything lined up and synchronized correctly with out killing this old girl. I'm no mechanic but i have basic knowledge of some stuff. can't seem to find a manual for this task that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Any help would be appreciated.

Where in ny? I'm in Buffalo, there is a tutorial on www.goldwingdocs.com that covers what you want to do. Buy a factory service manual (I paid $60 for mine) it will pay for itself before you have the bike roadworthy. Welcome to the home of fun people and reliable bikes.

Hi Xris! Yep, there's a nice library of info here... I'm certain the 83 1100's belt timing procedure is in it.
