I'm not sure where some of the things I found useful are hiding in the Forum, seems the sticky'ed pages may have been moved around, any way.....
For a new 2 Wings, peruse this
We love our by-ikes, Oh yes we do-oo, Replace the timing belts, And you will to-oo. Yep ... hang around long enough you will soon join the chorus too. It's not just the miles they've gone ... it's also the years. If you don't have proof of the belts' age, just replace 'em. Mine went on a few...

There was another thread (somewhere) that I think was even longer about common parts you could get at the non Honda store, this ones not bad
how about a sticky with basic part numbers for timing belts and thing that you can get at an auto parts store

Carb linkage would be a used part 'category', ask about in forums, salvage yards, some stores actually try to find new old stock (NOS) but a part like linkage is probably going to be hard to find in NOS. I use a search engine and the Honda Part Number (exact) to find things, at times.
There is a lot of info in this Forum, but the 'search is so-so. There is a way to search the Forum using Google, but I forget the format, maybe whoever told me that trick will chime in.
Brake lines (I presume the flexible ones) are available for Wings at several vendors. I had HEL make ones for my Wing. You might even find a local hydraulic shop near you that can make them.
The usual; brake lines, radiator hoses, carburetor linkage parts, etc.
We found carb kits, and brake cylinder rebuild kits. We're having a rear brake line built.
The bike has 35K on the clock, so the engine should be ok. My friend is the second owner, and claims it was running great when he parted it about 20 years ago. All of the body components/chrome are in great shape, and the wiring seems ok, so far.
I scanned your thread about your <10K bike, it looks nice. This bike is a standard GW, without luggage.
I build Brit bikes mostly, and some BMW airheads, this is my first venture into a Japanese, liquid cooled, larger cruiser type bikes. Seems well built. If I like it it I might buy it. IDK? Either way it's a win win getting it running, non-running GWs don't have a lot of value.
I'm not sure who's bike you're referring, wouldn't be mine....? I've owned the Wing since new and have about 60k miles on it,
The value of used Wings seems to finally be starting upward somewhat, I'd noticed an 1100 that appeared in great shape went for almost $8k not long ago, some others that were higher than in the past. I don't think they will ever become real high priced, because of how many that still are around.
One note about carb parts, for rebuiding reference. I'm not someone that has rebuilt them, but I've seen lots of posts of rebuild woes, the common thing of all the woes seems to be if one doesn't use Honda parts they seem to have issues. I had mine rebuilt years ago by a mechanic and he only used the Honda parts. I also took advise from from this Forum to run 1 oz. ATF/gallon of gas to keep the carbs working properly, cheapest ATF you can find. Since the rebuild, I think 7 years now) I've had no issues with the crab and the crap fuel that is sold today.
The '84 is a singular year build, it appears to have hold over items from '83 and missing some of the changes made in '85, making your parts quest a bit of a challenge, but wish you luck, we all need it sometimes!
