Hi guys, just wondering, which brand tires you are using on your GL1000 1979. I was looking at the size I need, 3.50x19 front and 4.50x 17 for the back, there doesn't seem to be to much choice in these tire size. So, what tires do you have and are they any good ?

130-90-17 rear....120-90-19 front ...bridstones seem very good for oldwing 1000 tire sizes ...theres others ...i hate tires they all seem to be poor products nowdays that there made by people who could care less about the people who buy them...it dont matter good the name is on the tire

It seems especially true in auto tires at least that you very much get what you pay for in mileage and a lasting tire.
It also pays off to shop around.

Unfortunately for the 1000 size there aren't many choices.
Avoid buying online if you can and order from a local shop.
This supports a local business and if there's a problem with the tire you'll have them to go back to for warranty.
Just ask aapple about his bad online experience, twice.
For me both of these reasons are enough for me to pay a bit more for tires.
