Hey all.. Just trying Find out the procedure for testing ignition coils... Output etc...
Can anyone help me here?

Put your tongue on the output lead and crank the engine over,if you get zapped, the coil is good.just kidding, but that is one way to do it.lol

I think Honda has a tester, but I doubt it fully tests for breakdown, etc. Ohm it out and compare to spec and observe in a dark area while running to check for external breakdown. A high-voltage tester to check for internal breakdown would not be very useful because if the high voltage insulation is breaking down it will rapidly fail anyway.

Funny I usually just test for spark ..taking all plugs out hooked to eites spin motor over fast look for spark preferably at shaded environment so you can see spark ..

With all this"great" advice...
Yeah you can check for spark.. But then leads break down so do coils. They may spark but is the spark strong at the correct gap etc.
So... Smart arses aside... I'm trying find out if the output is at recommended amounts...
Definition of expert..... Ex(X) stands for the amount, pert or spert is a drip under pressure...

You can also purchase spark testers. Some have a neon and some are adjustable gap.

Would the spark testers be similar to Colortune or a different tool?
You could use your colortune provided you were confident that your fuel load was correct before testing.
Here are some spark testers
