Did you know...

Pete Boody and Chris Gray of Pistol Pete's Services are currently doing a complete restoration of the world's oldest GoldWing for one of their customers.

This amazing prototype machine has serial number GL1-1000002 and bristles with interesting details not found on production GL1000s. It's one of only 10 bikes that were hand-made in 1974.

Follow their very interesting restoration here: https://www.facebook.com/pistolpetesservices (lots of great pix there.)

Nice..I thought yellow was on the 76 models, didn't know it was available in 75`

#0002 is not yellow. That's another bike on Pete's FB page.

OK, on the other site he recently posted with yellow on her, he just put something on for size not for keeps then.

Actually, according to the Facebook post, 002 is yellow, the only yellow prototype made.

I stand corrected!

According to Pete: "Folks this is GL1-1000002 the only prototype that was Sulfur Yellow."

As you probably know, yellow was a '76 only color ...delivered on only about 500+/- bikes. Apparently, GL1-1000002 was a harbinger of things to come later! :)
