Gerry, is the purpose of runnin em aground JUST to get them(partially) on dry land so they can start cuttin them up, or is it s'pose to do some damage to save time with the dis-assembly...or both?

Nope, just get them as far in on land as possible at high tide so that they can be dismantled. (A very dangerous operation over there that kills too many workers!!) There are no regulations protecting the workers from anything and they often work with sandals on while using large cutting torches. No safety equipment and explosions from spaces that are not gas free first are common.

Asbestos??? They don't care. Oil still in spaces, some one else's problem. Man crushed by falling steel? 100 waiting to take their place....
