Started the conversion on mine today, I am just going to install a basic battery disconnect switch and locate it in. Convenient but not in open view and consider it an additional anti theft device.

I just removed the Floorboards from my Gl 1100. Did not like them and want to go back to the standard foot pegs. Any idea wher I can get them Don't have the old ones because I bought the bike with the floorboards.

I was also considering copper tubing but after reading the comments about manifold heat I think not as copper is a great heat conductor

So if PVC has a lot of advantages why use it only for testing , I don't see the advantage of building the final design out of metal?

If you do the alt conversion does the alt fit behind the lower fairing on the gl1100 Interstate

I saw on utube a manifold made from PVC pipe. Seemed to run good owner said he had it on the bike for 10 years with only occasionally resealing it with silicon
