Measuring running GL1100 temps with an IR thermometer

You know... if you know anything about machining, you could very easily fab a fuel heater that would utilize the engine heat to heat the fuel before being carbed into a cold intake in addition to insulating the manifold. You could do it out of a small block of stainless steel. I'd say probably...

Yeeeaaahhh... I'm good on that. I'll save my money. Just curious if the rubber insulates the intake is all. Lol. Sent from my LG-K550 using Tapatalk

    Aluminum intake manifold

I disagree. That wouldn't be overkill at all, if it works. Pushing cool air and fuel all the way to the cylinder will give you a better combustion. Let me know if it works! Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

Also, my original carbs were 31mm, whereas the Weber is 32mm, opening to 36mm when full throttle. I like a progressive because it...

It was simple to install. The hardest part is tuning to your motor, which still wasn't that bad. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

Trying to make sense of this rat's nest...

I actually salvage do it from a 77 GL1000 that is in my buddy's salvage yard. Had been sitting for about 6 years. Traded him all 4 of my good stock carbs. Paid $40 for a rebuild kit. And it installed easier than the 4 carbs setup. Simply install the manifold, attach the carb, and run your push...

Also, I'd love to see more pics of the seat that is on your newest bike. It looks pretty sweet from what I can see, but I'm only seeing it in pieces. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
