So my 76 wing has an issue with the shaft. I haven't torn anything apart yet. But a quick question as I'm sure some of you can awnser. Is there a U joint or some sort of sheer pin in the shaft. My transmission shifts fine still but the shaft isn't spinning.

Yea my problem is, I have split my casing open so i can trace the wires and rewire the whole thing. What a mess. I did find a ground issue, and I think my front running lights have a split internally and are grounding out to the frame, when the guy crashed the bike he broke both of them and...

No rear or front running lights at all. So weird. I tried to tie into the headlight and when I use the turn signals it makes all the blinkers flash lol... I tied the tail light into the headlight for now so that will get by, I disconnected the front running lights so I can use the turn signals...

My bike is standard

Found it it was wedged up under the lower Guage cluster. Unfortunately no blown fuses. It's not making any sense why the running lights just went out

Yea that's the thing I have both sides broke down and even looked under the air box. Still nothing??

Problem is there are alot of wires hacked and spliced. The right side blinker stopped working then the running lights started to flicker. The wires look good outside the headlight housing. Inside there is a nightmare

Okay I'll give that a try. Can't hurt, I got a feeling it's a float sticking. Can never be too sure tho. But I know when I got on the road I have no lack of power so I feel like the gas flow is good.. but not sure how long this bike sat before I got it, but I'm sure the old gas in them carbs is...

It's the 79 gl1000. It sat for a long time to my knowledge, when I bought it, it fired right up no problem. I have ran a couple tanks of gas thru it. She seemed to run rough for the first tank but the more I rode it, it started running smooth as these bikes tend to do. I have done no carb work...
