1983 Voyager offered locally. For some reason, I couldn’t pass it up. Way too cheap. I have a vision. Nothing elaborate (or expensive), but a whole lot lighter than it is now!

Owned by an older gent for 15 years (older than me!). Starts, runs and revs instantly. Fuel tank is off. Everything but the fairing was prepped for repaint, but then went nowhere.

That’s where I come in.

It runs really well. (Too quiet) Fuel injected. Water cooled. 135hp. In fact, the perfect running is what sold me. The biggest chore will be removing all the fluff, but keeping it operable. The computer controller alone is huge. Kinda important for the injection. I'll be putting this big girl on a diet soon. The darn thing makes my Valkyrie seem small if you can believe it...

Anyway, I needed another project, right? And I do like the sound of a six cylinder howl.

Stay tuned, but be patient. We're still waaaayyy over 100F here. My shop AC developed a problem but I spent the repair funds on another motorcycle!

So, with a third 6 cylinder in the house, I’ll be busy when (if) the weather cools...

I worked in 2 Suzuki dealerships in the mid 1980s. I remember the Cavalcade and Voyagers as seeming so much larger than the Goldwings, and I guess they were! An Aspencade looked naked by comparison, lol!

Lol thanks guys. It is a heavy mother. Top heavy, too and i dont even have the tank on it!

For the record, its not a keeper. It'll sell well for the bobber streetfighter crowd...and if Im careful, i might not lose money on this one...

I remember those new back in the day. Had great specs but just couldn't match the low CG of the Wing. But then back then I was more into Honda VF series type :) Now my GL1200 once moving feels lighter and more flickable then my R100RT which weighs about 200lbs less, go figure.

I will Joe. But as I mentioned above, it'll be a while before I dive in. It is still hot as heck in Southern Arizona...and will be for a few more weeks.

Currently in Parts Gathering mode. on the lookout...

Side note: it would sure be easier to just start with a KZ1300, but they (or these) dont show up often and i dont have time to waste.

Besides, what'd be the fun in that...and they're not injected - good for another 15hp supposedly.

Sorry for the non-GL and even non-Honda chatter.

I agree with you Joe! I had an opprtunity to buy a Kawasaki Voyager 20 years ago and declined, it was just too mammoth for me at 5'6" and 130 lbs.
And now you have me thinking another brainstorm (my apologies desertrefugee), could an 81 or 82 CBX be outfitted with a Goldwing or SilverWing Interstate Fairing and Bags, because the ones on the CBX dresser are ridiculously small!
