Anybody know what the radio connector is called?

I don't know about the 1100 but my bike is a 1985 Aspencade. Thought I asked the question in the 1200 area..?

But in any case the picture is from rhe back of the RM-1100 radio installed in my 1200 from the factory.

Would this connector by chance be used on any of the earlier models 1100's?
I have a crate with 2-3 complete radio systems I can have a look in if so.

Unless it was a removable radio mounted below the instruments, rather than on the side of the fairing, I don't think so...

Nobody knows the connector type, a friend who works at Disneyland (and is pretty familiar with electronics) as an electronics tech suggests it was made for or by Panasonic and their knowledge has been lost.

Bummer, I guess a used radio would be the way to get one and then hope it doesn't have the same issue.

Take a look in the Newark or Allied catalog. Target Amphenol. (I spent some time in the EE field...like 30 years)

Have you tried bending/prying the contact bars up to make sure they are all making contact with the pins?

Prying the pins up, works for a while. Afraid all the prying will generate a broken one someday, so hence the query.
