One last post before I ask Dan to close this off. On our way back to LA from Big Sur, the young bloods were doing the go fast, slow down and wait for us, go fast - you know the drill. We were on our way to the local Walmart as I needed a 1/2 litre of oil, and there was this long stretch with the young bloods well out in front. Decided to do a pass by. Took the old girl up to 90 MPH and was surprised that I was only reading 4900 RPM - fastest I've had it to date. Not bad for an old girl. Cheers

Good thing Dan organized the Big Sur ride when he did, there's snow in our driveway this morning. Was going to take the bike for a road test today after putting it back together having cleaned the gas tank. Have to wait for a few days I guess. It was one of those "you've gotta be shitting me" moments when I went to walk outside and go for coffee.

Guess I won't wait until Monday to start the front fork oil change.

Cheers

That’s why I live in sunny Queensland Ernest, very little chance of snow... :smilie_happy:

Spent a couple of winter seasons in Palm Springs, didn't miss the snow. It's a bit early for snow here. Generally end Jan, early Feb.

Temp is cutting into my maintenance as well.

Good to hear Queensland doesn't get snow and considering that the Aussi summer is my winter, should be good for a bike trip in a couple of years.

Cheers
