Talk about pouring gas on the fire, just give it time, folks, the C5 will speak for itself. There are members who are checking it out. Fact is, some guys are lucky enough to have stock bikes with everything still performing as new, but as parts fail people will sift through what's good and what's not.

Haters is gonna be haters, always will be. The great part about this forum, is that when the day comes, and it will, that you will never be able to find certain parts to keep these old gals scooting down the highway, the do'ers, experimenters like folks here will still be riding while the haters bikes will be collecting dust in a shed somewhere. So what if we try something and it fails, big deal, at least we try and we don't cover up the failures, we report it like it is.

and it dont hurts someone business and livelihood ...it just obvious to me sponsored forums are challenged ...and it was very possible narrow minded sponsored forums can kill something like c5 all together ... posts or free speech that point out the hardship of that crap is not gas on fire ...its actually fire extinguishing the blantant uninformed discounts of fire that was done first ...im good both ways ...freedom of speech should be full circle ...here we try ...big job for sure ... but if c5 had died it wouldnt be option later .... people who want to make out its a crime for me to support them free of cherge... well i dont care .... best day to us all ...

For those of us (ok, me) who haven't been following everything you guys are working on, can you post a picture or description of what this new bike is going to be like? Slabghost mentioned a "Hooch like" motorcycle so I'm guessing one of these bikes will be a high powered freak.

To help anyone just getting into this build, would you please review the plan?

Okay Jyd description. First the plan was to make a two wheeled sleeper. We started with a worn out 84 1200. All cylinders were resurfaced by hand as only Joe can do. Valve reliefs were enlarged to fit 75-77 heads and cams. Then we adapted an intake for single I had originally purchased and installed a 32-32 weber two barrel. Stock exhaust was rotten with rust so it now sports a nice Jardines exhaust. It will be getting a 1500 rear wheel and the entire front is being replaced with newer 1200 parts. The original front was put on my standard which had been wrecked. Now it is getting the C5 m. When all the upgrades are complete it will get re dressed as it was originally as an 84 Aspencade. So I expect to have a docile looking dresser that will keep up with just about anything. :thanks:

I know I'm behind of these things , But... is this C5 Just an Electronic Ing. replacement for Points ????

Well yes and no. Yes it is an electronic ignition that does replace the points ignition. Or the dyna or Gerex ignitions. but it is a lot more. It's a fully programmable ignition with 3 full sparks per cycle. It is completely independent of any outside advance mechanisms. It is not an upgrade or replacement part to stock ignitions. It is a complete ignition set up including coils and plug wires. Some think it pricey but considering all that is included it really is a bargain.

Yo Joe, looks like a box of fun. Let us know how it works out. Is this going on Hoochie mama?

I expect a video of wheelies, smoke, or a police chase. All this talk of single carbs, multi blah blah ignitions, and not a single video showing questionable riding practices. You guys are all posers :whip:
