On Jay Leno's website there is a video of the spray-on chrome that looks very real. I'm sure there are companies that will provide this service. Also check out the video on Quick-Glo chrome cleaner and polish. I can recommend it very highly.
 
That youtube video was pretty cool, and you may be right about the durability of the process Joe. As for me, having a chrome tank would be like shining a halogen light in my face all the time. Can you imagine the glare?

I've tried the Duplicolor "chrome" paint and it wasn't chrome.

Boy, you're not kidding about this one, Weedoo2. Between the hours of, roughly, 10AM and 2PM when the Sun is high, the reflection off the Valkyrie chrome can be a little much. You learn to shift your arse around on the seat to get out of the light beams - but they come from everywhere! :roll:
