What is the hot tip on brake pads for the GL1500 ? Brand? ( I've got my '91 tore down for upkeep maintenance & I'll need brake pads )

I would go with the Honda brand, you will pay a bit more but you know they work.
I put Kevlar pads on my 1100I because I didn't want the sintered pads to wear out my discs... they are organic and don't over generate heat...
now days its hard to figure out who makes anything for real ....

I once put "semi metallic" (sintered?) pads on a van and they tore up the new rotors in a few thousand miles.
Stopping power was good though :smilie_happy:
I don't know if it was caused by inferior disk material or the pads themselves but from then on I use nothing but what the manufacture recommends and buy them from the local Napa guys I know will stand behind them because they know what they're selling. If they don't have them then I get them from the dealer.
That exercise cost me a lot doing the brakes twice!
