Busy week. Went to OKC for my wife's second round of treatment. Two days after is rough but today was a better day. Found time to finish up painting all the bags and will get pics tomorrow. Also went for a little ride today too. :moped:

Freshly painted bags. Few more pieces left and she smiles once again.
Here's a before and after.

Thanks for the compliments.
Took her out for a spin today. Appears as though there is a distinctive "Whining" sound coming from the front. I'm assuming when I replaced the timing belts, I might have tightened them too much . Whining is pretty loud !!
Thoughts?

Possible the whine is belt tensioner too tight or speedometer cable turning dry in the housing. Any moving part rubbing a housing or non moving part could also whine. Is the whine only in motion or is it present while it's running but at a stop?

I'm thinking its the belt tensioner. Put bike on center stand and while in neutral the more I throttle , the whine becomes louder and faster. If I put it in gear, its the same sound.

Looks like it might be a Ural :headscratch:
That was my guess but I don't know if they are boxer motors. :headscratch:

Yes, they were boxer's, the Russian version of early version B M W, from WW II capture of one their factory's.
