You will not be disappointed by running tubes in a tubeless tire but as slab said the tube will not last without replacing the rubber spoke protectors ( bands ). In my experience I have never seen a true spoked wheel ( adjustable spokes) that would work tubeless!!

Many BMW models run spoked wheels with tubless tyre. But, the spokes are not in the centre like the GLs; they are outside of the tyre bead.

the field is wide open for a nice wire wheels made for tubeless tires and custom wheel making ...seems in todays world thats way to flexible to allow ...but potential is huge .....im glad i finally got my 1000 framed bike wheeled the way i wanted using 1200 wheels and rear with car tire

Plus 1 on what Slab said it's what I do on my 77. I would get new rubber's just to be sure about them. My 77 sat for over 8 month's last season and only needed 3 or 4 lbs when I returned back north. Jerry

Oh new tubes with new tires is always a good idea. It's all good Terry.

This thread is almost a year old.
The issue was resolved long ago.
