I bought one but it ain't it. I didn't research the options well enough. It had a review by a 1200 rider but the thing has this heat sink that needs to be outside the headlight. It would work if I cut a hole in the fairing and ran it out the back. That was a $30 mistake.

Any other options / recommendations?

I did all the turn sigs and all is well there.

thanks.

So I have seen new ones that don't have the solid heat sink or the fan on the back but what looks like folds of metal ribbon I gather you should splay them out to keep the heat down.

If you go here you can see the difference in the generations of LED lamps.

and this is just an example.

the review on the one I bought said it gave out a weird light pattern as in bright but not as much shinning where it needed to be - even after adjustment.

when I plugged it in - kinda looked that way to me too.

I'm sure they all vary.

As an oncoming driver/rider I def. prefer the old variety - easier on the eyes.

the newer ones pony have four sided led lights .....older ones were like two sided and had dark spots i guess ....anyway that what im hoping for ...good even spread of light ...
