I saw this copper grab rail at a customers home.
How could I leave without pictures right?

Flange is soldered on.
Pipe diameter is a bit over 1" OD.
She wouldn't have liked me taking it off to measure I.D though I was tempted to.

She said she thought her partner got it at a swap meet or rummage sale.
Just a thought, copper are out there so I'm passing it on.

Dan and/or any welding gurus on here.what material will best weld and/or braze to the aluminum intake runners on our engines, other than aluminum of course?

If not,ill have to buy some aluminum tubing to attach to my runners

Can you clamp them together with rubber couplings?

At the runner,im not sure.i removed the original rubber boots and there isnt much room left to attach to,will take a bit of studying

How about welding on a short stub long enough to clamp to?
Could also transition to your pipe size with that stub if needed.

Alright now......this is getting out of control!! (Spying on our neighbor's bathroom installations?? :hihihi: ) What next? Are we going to start secretly checking out commercial bathroom grab bars installations at our favorite stores? There are doctors for these thing ya know!! :smilie_happy:

maybe we can get a group rate pricing ....and the doctor will tell us how to hook it up ....

what you say the doctor not for making the grab bar work ...sheesh forget him :Doh2: :hihihi:

I pray no doctor ever cures me of my creative madness, lol, life would be way too boring, but to stay on topic, I'm glad my idea sparked some to think outside the box and look at everyday items and use them in a way their designer never could have envisioned with stellar results. Sorry I have not followed up with more results of my own, have been having health issues of my own and several family members, but even if I am not posting, I am following along closely and gleaning knowledge from all of you, thanks for letting me be a part of this group. I hope you and family all get past your health problems quickly. I for one have been waiting not so patiently for more news of how your build performs and what changes you've made to the carb.
