Just the essentials. No extra unnecessary wiring. I'm wanting to put everything on switches, like a racing style wiring setup.

That'd be cool.

I don't recall ever seeing a Goldwing diagram like that to re-hook just the essentials, but if you downloaded the pictures with them on it, you could cut/copy just those parts and complete the diagram by hand easy enough.

+1
Make sure you write a list of all the essentials and if I was going to all that trouble I would add 4 relays to your circuits ( high and low beam, ignition, thermo fan), that way your switch gear should last forever.

For future reference, we have all the available (far as I know) schematics in the gallery. https://classicgoldwings.com/forum/galle ... um_id=1877

Sorry Bro tha one in our gallery is too dim fer Ole eyes. I Googled that one , I figger if its on Google its fair game. If yall object to outside URLs here I will cease and desist pronto :Doh2:

Generally A schematic is a bare bones drawing that focus on connections rather than components . A Block Wiring Diagram has all tha bells and whistles. It will show connections and components. That said tha quality and usefulness of both vary greatly depending on who drawed em and who's reading them

Well naturally we like guys to use our forum instead of going elsewhere when possible but there's no objection to outside url's.

The image in our gallery is the same one you linked to btw which isn't any darker when viewed the same size. Maybe you're not viewing the full size image?

This one is a diagram you just posted comparison of which is of the ignition path on the same diagram... which does show less detail yes.

I got this yesterday. No rust. The starter is burned up he said.I think it used to have a lot of touring junk on it.Now my other one can be a parts bike.78 to 78 makes parts interchange easy.I took the left sidecover off to look at something. The guy says the former owner burned the starter up tryng to start it,and had taken the inline fuse out, thats why the starter burned up.huh? Anyhow, I will put my other starter back on.I will check points gap, replace sparkplugs, check plug wires, check to see if the belts are lined up on timing marks, and give it a whirl. It has sat for about a year.I do not want to take the bike apart to get the gas tank out.I will have to figure out what to do.The guy already did much of what I was going to do.Small signals, small tailight, but the wiring from the bike to the lights doesnt match. Some of the wires sticking up around the headlight i have no clue what to do with.Any and all input helpful.I held the camera straight up and down.I guess I should have turned it sideways.Anyone here know how to straighten them up please do.

Looks like he has more than I started with when mine was delivered. Haha. I was missing my side covers and my false tank sides on mine, as well as the seat. Got the false tank sides and 2 seats, the day I got mine, from a friend. Good thing.

Dude, please tell me where your friggin fuse box is mounted on yours? Mine is flopping around inside by my coils, and there are no mounting points on it. I'm trying to.organize my rat's nest before I start trying to customize the wiring system.
