Take another look at that chart, looks like the 84 is tallest of any listed to me. :headscratch: Or am i wrong??? :whistling:
 
that is all in the final drive punkin gearing at the rear wheel denver ....the grearing in the motor is exactlly the same as the 83 1100 motor ....83-84 motors are the tallest geared oldwing4 clylinder motors
 
OK, just knew that it felt faster, gauges agreed, & numbers somewhere earlier said the same as this chart as far as R P M's & speed goes. :read: Knew the difference between my 2, 81's & an 83 that i checked out for a friend to buy were VERY different animals, :eek:k: but my 84 seemed to be a bit faster. Told him that it was real close to my 84 standard :yes: & he knew how hard to find those were to find. Bought it loves it, & still LUSTS after my 84 standards :lust:
 
If you are talking drive unit at the rear wheel I'm almost certain the answer is yes. Wheel sizes vary though.
 
why the green emblem?? i have 2 81's and the other is black.

Green is correct for 81. 82 is black which is what I replaced my green one with when it blew off while riding around Tustin CA

i like the tan seat to.....i also have this one. i dont really like it

Seats any other color from black just jump out for attention. Sometimes it's a good thing sometimes not. It's your bike make it look the way you like.

i have a set of 83 wheels,will a 130/90/18 tire fit with out rubbin anything. i also have the wider front fender

nice i like the wider front set up on hooch.....i have the 130-90-16 set up 1200 wheel on the 1000 forked bike.....fender mod also ...to make it work.....im sure you will like it big time
