Seems deal is back on ...as it stands I'll be going to Cali and Dan will pick me up at airport ..and I will drive cross country on my first trip with it ...there will be bunch of pics and vids I'm sure Dan will see to that

Hey that’s great news!

How much fuel do you reckon that beast will consume going coast to coast? I guess the good news is that prices are down right now. Two months ago and you would’ve paid 25% more to make this run.

The motor is known for for great mpg ...it may get 10mpg ..traveling empty..

Ok ..some plans have been made ..im going to Cali on Wednesday by plane to pic up RV BUS ..Dan is going to pick me up and we are going to get the RV bus...im not sure how possible it would be to meet some of the members there in these times were in

But sure would love to meet up ...i for sure will be staying a day or so ...maybe contact Dan to see if we can have a meet up somewhere in space suits.lol..i sure am looking forward to getting this project. It will be my rolling home ...

Plane arrives LAX at 2:15 Wed the 22nd April, then straight to Westminster to pick up the bus, then back to my place in Van Nuys. Skiri or anyone want to meet up, let me know.
I’m thinking on where to park this monster.

That would be cool Darrel I'm sure that the way to go ..would love to meet you
Maybe you should take the scenic route through Vegas and catch up with a Randy as well.

Wow!
LAX to Westminster on (almost empty?) I405?
You will just pass by me.
And the airliners are still flying.

Yeah, it's a great opportunity but I am too chicken to go out...

...im hoping hooch might just load right in bus by modding lift maybe ..so instead of pulling a trailer I'm thinking one way or another hooch is going to hitch a ride in this set up LOL..come out of the bus like evil kenival ...to go riding ...any way hopefully pics soon ..cant wait to get :builder:

I have a similar (but tiny.. LOL) setup on my E150 high roof van (formerly a mobility transporter.)
It will be great if I can use a wheelchair lift to load a motorcycle.
I guess you can extend the platform to fit the motorcycle.
But how you increase the weight capacity?
Mine got Maxon lift with 800 lbs capacity.
It is good for my dirt bikes but Oldwing may be too heavy considering the CoG will be futher away from the support.

Joe will have to post pictures and all. We were so busy getting everything to get on the road I forgot all about getting any pictures.

It's 8:30 now. I expect Joe should be in Arizona or very close.

Hope he checks in with me soon.
I texted him to let me know at his first stop how it’s going. No word yet.
This bus will go a thousand miles easy on a tank so he may just be hammer down iron butt.
