I'll let you know how I make out using this carb. Initially with no adjusting it doesn't idle well but revs up nice. Once it's mounted I'll play with the settings. I am surprised it ran as well as it did and it got rid of the bugs in the garage. Guess they don't like oil smoke.

You will most likely find that the idle jet size is too big and needs to be reduced to get it to idle smoothly. My jet sizes right now are:
- Idle - .30 mm
- Main - 1.35 mm

This was what I had on my 81 1200. On the 87, it idles nicely but I haven't gotten to the point where I am ready to put it on the road yet and start working with the main jet.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

Here is my single carb conversion working correctly. I had to adjust the accelerator pump and enlarged the main jet for it to run properly.
The clicking you can hear toward the end of the video is the aftermarket fuel pump. Might have to get an OEM pump so I don't have to listen to that.

Mine ticks maybe once every second, but that was rattling when you revved it up almost like the petcock was closed or the carb float was empty. It sounds real smooth though.
