Thanks for the pics! That just slides into the rear crash bar assembly where the normal rear bumber bar attaches... correct? If so, is the piece that slides inside the rear crash bar assembly a pipe or a solid rod?

It's solid in this case, if I recall correctly the shank of a 5/8 bolt (0.620 od) into a 1/2" sch40 pipe (0.622 id).

Well that even takes all the guess work out of it! Thanks again.
 
I've seen several https://www.uni-go.com/Uni-gos at GL1800 gatherings. Something that I found very inviting is that it can be unhitched and rolled into your hotel room with ease! If I ever went to a luggage trailer, that would be the one.

:builder: I built one for my bicycle and the critical part is the U-joint assembly. The trailer can move left or right and up or down, but must remain at the same angle of tilt as the bicycle. Of course, the load must be centered on the trailer or you will notice it very quickly when you turn. I'm not sure whether you would notice an imbalance on a motorcycle, but I wouldn't want to find out the hard way.
