Here's a little secret but no secret anymore. Seat # 2 has a parachute hidden in rear, which I can deploy after hitting 150 :help:

I don't know guys, kinda like the 2nd one, even though #1 is nice. That makes the bike one of the best naked Wings I've seen.

:good: I must agree too. Rear fender looks out of place with seat #1.

Okay, here is the final look I went with. Seat 1 for sure and I ditched the rear fender and fashioned a bracket to hold LED flashing taillight !
Sooooooooo........... back to fouling plugs issue. I have decided to not install the electric fuel pump. I have tinkered with this single carb to the point I really think its too big for the engine maybe. I;m really tempted to ship off the stock carbs and call it good. This bike needs to be running efficiently and it was designed to run on 4 carbs. Mike Nixon is really good and I feel if they are rebuilt by him, I can get this machine running like it should. :fiddle:

thoughts on her new look?

The bike looks great ...a ride on wet road wil let you know if the rear tire is covered enough not to streak your back ...it’s right there on the botderline ....

As for the single carb ...and I’m rather an expert at this ...maybe one of the best on this tech ...there are no mike Nixon stock carbs that will come close to a dial in strait carb ...I can’t answer why most fall short of getting there bike dialed in ....just so you know ...if you want your bike to run as fast as it looks like it will ...I’d stick with the single card ...personally I would have went with a progressive two barrle ....

So I cleaned all the plugs again and turned bypass screw out 2 turns and fuel/air screw out 2 1/2 turns per instructions as before, then a little tweaking from there. Took her out and she's fast as hell, perfect running, no hesitation at any point.
This has happened before and then after a few rides, plugs foul and she's done. I feel like I'm really close but can never get it perfect !! :head bang: :head bang:

This sounds for sure like ...rich at idle and just off idle ...this is where 80% of all riding happens ...there are many ways to add more air ...as stated before I’m not a solex guy ...but I’m sure there is probably a vac line on the carb you have plugged up down low on the carb ...unplug that and try and run it ...these holes are small and will probably lean the idle out some ....on my bike I modded an air bleed below the throttle plate at the idle mix screw place ...also made it adjustable ...rigged it to have cut fuel flow with home made jet ...and the idle couldn’t be more adjustable....in vented my own idle circuit ...plugs burn perfect ...there are many things I’ve done that make it run so much better than stock ...but stock set up rather easy to beat ...when you can get the down almost to the ground weighted oldwing to pull the wheel off the in first and second gear ...your bike is mean
