The time might come when you need a new Seat or Passenger Backrest. I recently got tired of looking at my sorry backrest and decided to by a new one. I decided I'd stay with (OEM) original Honda parts so I paid the price. In my shopping (research) I quickly discovered that the 89 Gl1500 had three different colors of upholstery. My bike is painted Wineberry Red and so Honda upholstered the seat in Romany Red. If you're going to pay the price for a new backrest ($136), you might as well buy the right one. The backrest (part# 77500-MN5-000ZC) comes in Romany Red both backrest and seat # end with "CZ". Nobody will notice if you buy one in Bison Brown BUT - like I say - you might as well get the right one.
