Organics do the least amount of damage to the rotors, semi-metallics(sintered) stop better, but score the rotors more quickly.

I think there are different grades of metallic also, maybe not for our bikes but for autos.
One set I used ground the rotors real bad in under 10,000 miles on a van I had.
Could have been low quality metal rotors for all I knew.
I'm going with semi metallic on my 83 fronts at least. It needs more stopping power.

Been using Galfer green kevlar racing pads for years, :good: my discs look like chrome with virtually no wear!!!
