Clarion radio sound

I went for a ride to gas up the 83 the other day. The radio was working fine. I hit the mute button as I pulled up to the station. When I left I turned the mute of and then no sound. I checked all of the fuses this morning and they are all good. Did I blow the amp?

Could be a lot of things. Look at the cheap easy stuff first. Fuses? Power and ground connections.Amp and speaker wires.

Probably just a sticking mute switch, least that would be my first stop..these old clarions are well made and doubt it is something major.
