This is the set I bought from backyardtrouble.
They look never used.
I'm going to install it out of curiosity how well it does.

The casting is rough both inside and out.
Runners are 1-3/8" Inside Diameter:

Hay Guys, that manifold is what I've used for the past 15yrs. about. That's a Cycle Innovations manifold that used the 1-barrel Holley. I had great success and also today sets atop a Weber/Holley 32/36 with a heated plenumn underneath it. I'd use the adaptor so you can trade out differant carbs and will also house my 32/32 carb when I get around putting it on. But I like that manifold on a personal note!!Later Bob

Run/Ride report.
This is with the 2 barrel installed:

Idle speed screw needed about 1/2 turn faster to idle at 950.

Idle is up and down on tach, not steady.

Acceleration in garage is laggy.

Ride:

Bogs bad on takeoff, way too lean.

Coming to a stop it will die unless throttle is "nursed" to keep it running for 5 seconds or so then stabilizes.

Acceleration just isn't there, too lean.

Wide open throttle is about the same as with my 1" runners.

My opinion:

Maybe if a Solex (one barrel) is run with this manifold it would be ok.
The Solex is jetted richer from my understandings.

This 2 barrel carb on my 1" custom runners and VW manifold needs a slight increase in primary jetting.
My bet is this CI manifold would need an additional step up in jetting over the 1".
That would most likely drop MPG well below 40.

I'm uncertain what has caused this drop in performance.
It could be the 1-3/8" runners, could be the large plenum.
Either way, I'm not going to dink around with it, going back to my 1" and work on the jetting.

Mine looks a lot like that. With the 32-36 on it.I wasn't very pleased. Maybe once we have a tried and true carb set up it will be a good manifold. :read:

The CI manifold and others like it may perform very good with jetting tweaks but personally I don't like what I just experienced and what it means needs to be done to get it to run right...a richer primary or bigger carb chokes so it can breath more.
I'm after good performance and mpg. I don't think both will be obtainable with the CI.

It's all steel. Sorry the pic is so blurry. My camera skills are not good at all. Runners are 1.02 ID and go up slightly from the plenum to the intake horns. There are shields inside the plenum which open toward the middle pretty much blocking the runners. I'll Get my wife to try and take a clear pic or two.
