Did a search on "exhaust diameter", but didn't find what I was looking for. Does anyone know what the diameter of the exhaust is where the muffler slips over the headpipes? Or, in other words, if i wanted to get different slip-ons, what size inlet diameter would they have to be? I'd like as snug a fit as possible, without having to use collars, spacers, or have to crank down on some u-bolts to get them to seal.

Thanks

Well the gl1100's don't have slipons, the mufflers are welded to the head pipes.
If we're talking about gl1000 head pipes then those are 1 3/4" OD.

Someone had cut open an 1100 head pipe at the muffler weld, I don't know what that pipe size was.
