I recently laid my bike down on the fwy at about 60 mph. The bike is okay but the crash bars on the right side are chewed up. I've found the engine and saddle bag crash bars but I have a rail that goes around the saddle bags and the mounting bracket that attaches to the saddle bag crash bar needs to be replaced. anyone know where I can find one?

I've got a set...somewhere...if I can find it, it's yours. You're just up the 210 from me. Glad you're OK!
Thanks Steve that would be great. Let me know if you find them and how much you for them. :Egyptian:

Wow, 60 MPH! How did you make out? Are you OK?
I came out pretty well thanks to the body armor I had on. It was a cool day so I put on my leather jacket, boots and I highly recommend Bohn armor pants. I was able to get up and ride the bike home. Not on the freeway. Bruised but nothing broken.

It might take me a day or two to find 'em. They cost me nothing, so they'll cost you nothing. Maybe we can meet at Pick Your Part - one of my favorite places!
That would be good, I love that place too.

yeah what happened
The driver ahead of me started braking real hard. When I hit my brakes I immediately started to slide and I went down on the right side. I thought I would hit the car ahead of me but somehow that didn't happen. The driver that was behind me stopped his car to block traffic in the lane I was in and got out to help me. He said I must have flipped and rolled 7 - 8 times before I stopped. The bike stayed on it's side, in the same lane and slid straight ahead and stopped about 30 feet ahead of me. There had been an accident between 2 cars right there. The Highway Patrol had the 2 cars on the shoulder of the road just a little ahead of where I went down. I think there was some oil or coolant left on the pavement from the 2 car accident. Anyway 2 guys helped me pick the bike up. We looked it over and I was able to start it so I climbed on and rod it home. My leather jacket with armor and Bohn Armor Pants under my jeans saved me from serious injury. I'm bruised and sore but nothing serious

It is always worth wearing All your safety gear. Great to hear it was only bruising and you were able to ride home. :good: :moped:

Glad to hear you are OK.
I know it's important to wear the gear but I do not get how you guys can stand the heat in the southern states I can not even stand to wear it in Michigan I am many times guilty of a short sleeve shirt.

Certainly glad you weren't seriously hurt!! Also happy to hear the 'wing wasn't damaged too bad. You be one lucky feller!!

It was a cool day so I wore the leather otherwise I have a mesh jacket that's not too bad when it's hot. also I normally don't wear the armor pants unless I'm going on a long ride but I saw them in the closet and thought if I go down and I'm not wearing these I will feel pretty dumb, so I put them on. Glad I did. They have good pads in the hip, thigh and knees. Even with that I had a bruise on my right side from about 6 inches above my waist to the middle of my thigh.
