I think that sanding method is fine, but we don't know if there's a problem internally like a crack.
I got your pm, will need a few days before I can pack up the head to send to you.

Okay, thanks

Looks to me that you are on the right track. One thing is for sure, you are not going to accidentally polish off too much material with this method. Nice slow smooth passes on your polishing block until you have one plane and I think your problem will be fixed. Way to stick with it...

Still waiting on parts for head. All calipers are rebuilt, and fresh paint, plus new pads so I'm good to go there. Been thinking about doing the Geo metro mod with coolant fan switch , since my fan never came on, even in the red zone. Thoughts?

On the fan not working, is there a fuse for the fan on the left side of frame under the seat, on the 1100's marked as the fan fuse? :headscratch: This is OFTEN missed, on the 1200's when trying to see why the fan does't work, when i finally saw mine staring at me, was glad no one was around to see. :salute:

You should have received that head I sent, if not should be by Monday.

Okay,will watch for it Monday.

Couple more questions. Can I use basic grease for the head bolts? I used Honda moly first time but I'm out.

Also, can I reuse the cam seals since they are virtually new?

Okay, will check that. I called local auto store and the 94 geo metro switch is $35 , WOW ! If fuse is good, I'm opting for a $2 by-pass switch.

Fuse is easy to miss, one tends to look in fuse box for fuses, not in remote spots. :nea: Was in plain sight, if you knew what you were looking for. :hihihi:
