Ignition switch issue

Anybody ever have an issue with the ignition switch and is it fixable? Mine will not power up unless you mess with it and get it between run and accessory. I got it home fine tonight, but I'm afraid a little vibration will knock it off and that would suck at highway speeds :evil:

I've never had one open but have read they can be opened and cleaned.

I've never had one of these apart, but I've been thru plenty of others. Watch out for any small(ie:tiny) springs that may fall out. :builder:

They can be cleaned but the plastic is ~30 years old and brittle (don't ask how I know. ) Link is on the older 5 pin connector but procedure is same.

But for about the cost of a tankful of gas, can replace with new.
