I did not want to imply that I am a mechanic. I am an engineer and as such I do not trust my cars and motorcycles with mechanics 
Just finished rebuilding my GL1200 carbs. Keihin did a much better job with these than with the previous ones (GL1100, GL1000), IMHO.
