I guess the road to Timberon in New Mexico has been improved since I drove it. Nice scenery, but it was a horrible road. I want to ride Hwy 82 from Alamogordo to Cloudcroft, New Mexico. A beautiful drive!

I noticed New Jersey didn't even make the list! :whip: :head bang:

Yeah but your neighbor did several times.

But North Jersey actually has some fantastic roads!!

I have ridden 89a flagstaff to sedona many times. If you stop at sedona, you are missing out. Continue down to cottonwood, up through Jerome, and on to Prescott. From there head down 89 to Congress and then come see me in Wickenburg. I used to love the ride through Jerome back before they paved the cobblestone roads.

Bill

Edit: forgot to mention, when you are riding down the one lane divider road from yarnell down to Congress, keep in mind that used to be a two lane road with traffic going in both directions.

3 Sisters is KILLER. Just about any roads down in that area are sweet, but ya gotta be on the lookout for wildlife, especially DEER, and armordillys. :moped:
We did that run years ago in the Corvettes...spectacular! Hwy 71 from Brady to Llano is attention getting also....don't wanna fall asleep on that one, fer sher! :clapping:

Boy, Arizona has a bunch of great cycle roads. And while Oak Creek Canyon is a VERY nice run, there's way too much traffic and way too many sight-seers in station wagons, SUVs and RVs to make it a truly enjoyable cycle road. In my opinion there are several others that should rate higher.

I guess this list, like any other, is very subjective. For sure, it highlights some of the best - and I've ridden many of them - from New Hampshire to Florida to California. In fact, one of my all-time best motorcycle memories is (many years ago) riding to Key West, late at night, travelling down A1A with a near full moon. On some of those causeways, it almost felt we were gliding over the open ocean - on motorcycles!

Then again, perhaps some of the recreational pharmaceuticals had something to do with it... :whistling:

There is only one Wisconsin road on the list. I have not ridden on that road but there are MANY other great rides in Wisconsin on your bike. Especially the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive and anywhere in Door County or up by Eagle River. Door County has more shoreline than any other county in the united states, including Hawaii. Take note.

Ridden about 9 or 10 out of the 100, I didn't count exactly. Most were on east coast, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Beautiful area's, great rides. As funny as it seems being a native Texan, I have never ridden to 3 sister's, Davis mountain's, or Big Bend. I gotta do that one day.
