Shouldn't the 82 ( with unlinked brakes ) front brakes stop the bike easier and faster that the rears alone? In my search for front pads while getting them for the rears I found the front pads and rear pads are identical. So if true then the fronts should bring the oldwing down faster than just the rears alone as they share the same pads therefore must share the same calipers also? And two versus one should work almost twice as good ( in theory anyways ).
 
Yes. I don't understand why Honda used their linked system on GW. The later system on the CBRs (dual circuit) is much better even though it is way too complex IMHO. Most bikes 60-80% of the total braking capacity comes from the front also the fronts don't suffer negative effects of load transfer like the rear does.
