How's it going everyone? I just bought a 1979 GL1000 and I'll start the process of getting it on the road this weekend. It seems far more complicated that my Kaw, so we'll see how it goes!

Unfortunately no, the previous owner reports that the right side of the engine needs a new head gasket... It's coming home today, so we'll see what it actually needs. The bike is in great shape otherwise. Carbs were rebuilt last year, tank is super clean, solid cosmetic condition overall, etc. I've been watching teardown videos on youtube and flipping through the service manual all week. For $500 I couldn't resist.
