O what's going on out there?

We have lots of bikes and scooters because of year round riding is one reason. High incidence of DUI both in riders and drivers is another. Lastly, I believe many are lost due to their own lack of riding skills or just plane pushing their bikes beyond it's limits.

I cringe every morning while we are getting ready for work when I hear about another biker death because about 16 years ago my wife made me get rid of my bike. I don't know what made her do it but she acted like my life depended on it, she was freaked, it was 10 long years until she let me get my 1100.

Here's some proof on the numbers I stated above. Listen to the DJ reading the news on the radio as the music starts in one of my videos.

We are expecting a LEO blitz around here because just over a month ago a couple in their 50s were killed at 9am on a Saturday, again rider error on the same road :(

Mostly pushing the rider's SKILLS beyond their limits. Most bikes(and cars) today are safely capable of doing waaaay more than we as drivers/riders are capable of handling. All it takes is that "nnnnth" of a degree above that skill, and out go the lights....
Then, add in the MORONS that would rather play with their f-ing PHONES than pay attention to their driving, and all bets are off....
Texas is considering making lane splitting legal here...too many punk asses doing it already, so why bother? Bumper to bumper traffic, and here comes some dip-s :sensored: t in between cars at twice the legal speed....then they cry "foul!!" if someone turns in front of them.....

Sorry.....this kinda stuff just gits me riled up...back to your regularly scheduled thread....

+1 on the vehicle more skilled than the rider/driver.
I hope I never have brain fade, but in most cases feeding the power and pushing the bike lower will get you round safely. I believe most of us never get anywhere near the maximum lean angles etc. it is very easy to make the fatal mistake while riding of backing off power or braking that causes the bike to stand up and go straight. ( what happened to the rider that hit the tree ( that and possibly object fixation)).
If you can practise those techniques that put you in stressful situations when there isn't any real threat than hopefully muscle memory will save you when the threats are real

The camera is a gp3 white edition at $299. The editing software suite that comes with it allows one to add music.

Same as mine and I love it, especially the wifi control using the phone mounted on the Rats Nest.
