Joe is right about the cool down mod we did it to my 80 1100 and it runs a lot cooler. Only gets to just to below or touching it on white line on temp gauge. Just what you need in a hot weather area. Jerry

I think it'd be better to have both.

I don't have the space for two, and I don't want to store one on the deck in the back of the house, which is where it would be if I kept both. Beside, selling the '81 would soften the blow of buying the "new" one.
IF I do buy the '94, I'll prolly hang on to the '81 for a while, just to be sure the '94 isn't a pos. I have been considering sellin my work Cad and getting a newer model, either one for Mama to drive, and I take over the SLS, or just a "new" werk car for me. A "new" 'Wing would put that idea to rest....can't do both. :nea:

Er ah.....dat one is in Callyfornia...a wee bit too far to go for a test ride. :smilie_happy: I did see it earlier, tho, and it is a nice bike....just too dang fur away frum me. Plus...I've been kinda wantin to get a 6 cylinder 'Wing for a while.
The 1500 is right here local....about 10 minutes from where I werk. :hihihi:

Can't wait for your review Joel!
Until I pulled the radiator on Val she was getting all my attention. :whistling:
I know that I will not sell either of my Goldwing's until I can't ride anymore.

Well fellers...true to form, the "Turd" is now shoveling steam out the right tailpipe on startup....again. Anyone still think it's a water pump leak? :hihihi:
Saturday can't get here soon enough.... :beg:

Ughhh...nope, but I sure was hoping it was something simpler than a head gasket. The number of blown head gaskets in the last couple of years has me wondering a few things, the most pressing is it seems to me that the right head is usually the one that lets go. The heads are identical so why does the right side let go ? Does it seem to this way to y'all ?

hmmm i say the coolant goes to the left hed quicker or first and runs cooler in general ...also oldwings as ive always said for yrs run to hot ...and these cheap made gaskets melt out and blow .....and is why hooch is modded to run cooler

So....lemmie get this straight...OE HONDA gaskets are crap? :headscratch:
