On the way back we went past the quarry. Here is a little bit of dash cam through the steep section. The section after the roundabout is really steep, if the trucks miss a gear they don't make it up.

Looks like a great day and you managed much further than my 106 klms and also got 38 miles to the gallon
Nice to see another CBX :good:

Went for a ride up Malibu Canyon to Pacific Coast Highway then North to Decker Road Highway 23.
Took that up through the twisties, Decker is very curvy and steep up hill, scraped a few times, over to Kanan Road and back to the freeway.

Fun but it was VERY hot riding.
Mic placement seems real good if I talk louder.

Bike is running great.
The improved low end torque with the single carb, pulling up out of the uphill turns is very smooth and makes the ride that much more enjoyable for me.

great ride ...fun to watch a oldwing perform good in the power and torque area ...seemed the roll on power was always there ....no matter what rpm ...much different that stock set up ...the video makes that really noticable .....

Those turns are a lot sharper than the video shows, it doesn't show how steep the road is either.
We do wave but I got tired of waving and not getting a wave back that day.
Some days are like that.

I did notice a good many bikes but not one waving. Even the crotch rocket boys here will wave. If they aren't being stupid on one wheel.

I re ripped that video to a higher quality MP4.
Is it worth the larger size file?

Seems like the first version has a haze to it where this one doesn't and looks clearer.

Pretty long video from the iPhone as dash cam when I rode to Springwood for my first ride in 3 weeks. Hopefully you can get a feel for how smooth the Rats Nest was running. Unfortunately the phone sometimes changes focus and the picture gets blurry also the GPS speed is often inaccurate when accelerating and decelerating. If the speed is constant then it is accurate in kph.

wow tony ...one thing for sure a steve83 resurected 1100 rats nest is a fine bike ...this is how a stock carb and tuned 1100 suppose to run ..even after several yrs of aussie dust and it seems flawless ...nice bike guys ...very impressed..... nice riding tony .. :rocks: :rocks:
